Central Chidlom is a seven-storey shopping mall with a contemporary ambience and downtown vibe. Spread across its floors are products for modern metropolitan living including women’s and men’s fashion including clothing, shoes and handbags; make-up and beauty products; housewares and home décor; travel items; toys; sport apparel and equipment; books; and much more.

Central is one of the most recognisable brands in Thailand and has several department store branches in Bangkok. The brand’s Chidlom store, which has seen major renovations in recent years, has long been a favourite with city shoppers, both travellers and residents alike. Recent updates have kept the mall in the same league as larger and/or newer shopping malls, for instance Central’s own CentralEmbassy complex nearby, and with Siam Paragon, Terminal 21, EmQuartier and others. Like that and other luxury and mega-malls in the vicinity, Central Chidlom has the advantage of being adjacent BTS SkyTrain, in this case with direct walkway connection to Chidlom Station.

While Central Chidlom may not be the largest shopping mall in the Ploenchit/Ratchaprasong area, it has the distinct additional advatage of being a one-stop centre. Along with the aforementioned items, visitors also will find within the site one of downtown’s most popular supermarkets, a large stationery and art supply store, a home appliance and electronics outlet, as well as many restaurants and cafés. Further to dining, Central Chidlom is similarly well known for its inovative food court, Central Food Loft.

If you’d like to catch a film as part of your shopping day, there’s no cinema at Central Chidlom but one of the city’s most advanced and luxurious movie houses is next door at CentralEmbassy, which like Central Chidlom is linked by skywalk with Chidlom BTS station.

The shopping mall is easily reached from Novotel Bangkok Ploenchit Sukhumvit via BTS SkyTrain; simply catch the SkyTrain at adjacent Ploenchit Station and then its merely one stop to Chidlom Station. Otherwise, you can walk about 650 meters and be at the mall in 7 to 10 minutes or so.
